About the Department

Physics Department of Dinabandhu Mahavidyalaya, Bongaon was started in the year 1955. At that time there were only the General classes. But within a few years Honours course in Physics started. Many eminent teachers enlightened the department since then. Many students from this department completed their B.Sc. degree and went for higher studies and established in their life. At present there are four full time faculty members are present in the department. Out of the three faculty members are PhD holders and one is continuing his PhD work. The department has  a separate computer lab and classroom and separate projector facility to teach the students using PowerPoint presentations. The department has its own free WiFi service for both teachers and students. The department is equipped with new lab equipment according to the syllabus of CBCS and NEP. Department has a departmental Library with around 170+ books.
