About the Department

Year of affiliation i)General Course: 1956-57 , ii) Honours Course: 1986-87 Initially the course curriculum was affiliated under University of Calcutta. However, since 2008, the college is running under West Bengal State University, Barasat. For the last six decades, the department has been playing an important role in catering the needs of the locality both in academic development and social betterment. The laboratories are equipped fully as per the need of the University curriculum .The energetic staff with dynamic activities in the academic spheres can be used by the students for career development.
