  • Departmental Library: In addition to the college’s Central Library, the department maintains its own library with over 200 books available for both students and faculty. It also provides students with e-books in PDF format.
  • Museum and Specimen Collection: The department houses a comprehensive museum containing over 200 preserved specimens, bones, and slides. It also has a dedicated collection of local amphibians and an ‘Aquarium Fish Unit’.
  • Classroom and Laboratory Facilities: The department offers well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, complete with syllabus-oriented instruments and chemicals for undergraduate students. Students are encouraged to gain hands-on experience with various instruments.
  • Technology and Connectivity: The department is equipped with desktop, laptop, printer, and internet connectivity to support digital and research activities.
  • Annual Wall Magazine – ‘SRIJA’: Students are encouraged to participate in creating the annual wall magazine ‘SRIJA’, which covers engaging topics in Zoology and highlights their creativity.
  • Department Bulletin – ‘ZOOLLETIN’: The department publishes its own annual bulletin, ‘ZOOLLETIN’, providing insights and updates about departmental activities and research.
  • Monthly Special Day Celebrations: Each month, the department enthusiastically observes a special day to engage students and raise awareness about significant biological events or themes.
  • Annual E-Magazine – ‘ZOOLOGIA’: To foster creativity, the department publishes an e-magazine, ‘ZOOLOGIA’, featuring student articles, poetry, story writing, artwork, and research insights.
  • Enhanced Teaching Techniques: Faculty regularly use PowerPoint presentations and other ICT tools to enrich the teaching and learning experience beyond traditional lecture methods.
  • Students` Seminar: To develop communication skill, to improve understanding of subject matter, to encourage critical thinking and research skill, department of Zoology regularly organizes the students` seminars and poster presentation.
  • Field Trip: The department organizes annual field trip to sites of zoological significance, giving students real-world exposure. Field reports from these field trip are included in final university evaluations.
